As a qualified pharmacist for over 21 years, Debbie has been involved in supporting acute and chronic health conditions and has a wealth of knowledge on the medications and methods used to treat these.
After developing a thyroid condition in 2004, Debbie struggled to achieve the health she had enjoyed previously. Having spent many years battling with extreme tiredness she looked to nutrition in the hope of returning to optimal health. Having experienced dramatic improvement in health Debbie became inspired to become a nutritional therapist to enable her to support others.
As a nutritional therapist Debbie combines this knowledge with an indepth wisdom of how the body functions and what can cause it to go wrong. This puts her in a unique position to combine this natural therapy with a scienece based medical approach, bridging the gap between the medical and holistic approaches to healthcare focusing on the person and not just the disease.
Debbie has always worked hard to help people manage their own health through her work as a pharmacist and now takes great pleasure in helping people achieve optimal health, feel better and find solutions to their health issues, naturally.
Debbie works part-time in a busy village pharmacy and is well regarded for her caring and empathetic approach. She appreciates how difficult change can be and works with her clients to find practical ways to put her recommendations into practice. Debbie also lectures for the College of Naturopathic Medicine where she trained, inspiring others training in nutritional therapy and herbal medicine. Debbie also teaches courses in association with Integrative Health Education, details of which can be found on the courses and packages page.
Debbie is a full member of BANT and is registered with the CNHC. BANT and CNHC regulate nutritional therapists ensuring that practitioners are suitably qualified to maintain standards and protect the public from harm.
